John Type was born on 16th August 1972 in Madamombe Hospital.
He is in a family of six, three girls & three boys. John grew up in
Chitungwiza and educated at Seke II Primary School. He was at Seke
High school for his secondary education.
John started sculpting in 1986. In 1987 John went to Mhdhindo area in Guruve where he worked with Brighton Sango. He worked with Moses Masaya in 1989. His work is mostly inspired by Brighton. Most of his pieces are in abstract form and you can find them in many different countries around the world.
