The Sculpture

Our sculpture is hand crafted by skilled artists, mostly of the Shona tribe.  All our sculptures are one-off, we have available a wide variety of genuine, unique, stone sculpture – not reconstituted stone but real stone that has been beautifully hand crafted to reveal stunning and creative designs.

The styles of sculpture are very varied from the very simple to finely detailed.  The sculpture, even though contemporary is influenced by many traditional, cultural, social, natural and other factors.  Some are quite subtle and delicate, others very powerful.

As all the sculpture is crafted from natural stone, no two are alike.  Most of the sculpture we have is fashioned from various forms of serpentine.  There are many varieties, but our favourites are Springstone and Opalstone. 

We supply sculpture in a variety of sizes & scale.  All the sculpture is individually priced and is based on many factors - particularly - the Artist, the technical skill employed, the material and the size and form.  We try to keep our overheads low and can therefore pass on a considerable saving.

Shona sculpture, as it is sometimes called is internationally recognised and admired.  Many respected art critics have drawn parallels with some of the great European sculptors of the 20th century.
