I started sculpting in 1988 as a student of Tapfuma Gutsa under Utonga Studio.  I was always working on Tapfuma’s sculptures and when I had free time I would be working on my own sculptures.  Tapfuma strongly inspired me in such a way that I was able to do my own things.  I then worked alongside Dominic Benhura from 1993 to 1998. 

My works can be viewed at galleries like Chapungu Sculpture Park and The National Gallery of Zimbabwe.  One thing I’m informed by my teacher is not to be a copy-cat.  My aim is to become one of the finest sculptors in Zimbabwe.

I was born on 18 January 1968.  I am married and currently live in Tafara, Harare.
